I am a computer scientist, computational biologist, applied mathematician, and inventor—an insatiably curious computational innovator, advancing artificial intelligence to make the industrial systems that use it more robust, effective, and secure. I am an experienced expert creating and applying artificial intelligence technology—computer vision, natural language processing, logic & formal verification, model checking, robotics, statistical learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, physics-informed AI, generative AI, multimodal AI, and foundation models—to solve open problems in industrial manufacturing. To this task, I bring a keen insight into the value, limitation, and risk of AI technology in an industrial setting. My decades-long experience conducting pure and applied research, writing grants, publishing peer-reviewed articles, patenting inventions, leading teams, and managing projects grounds my perspective as a mature, pragmatic scientist who knows how to align complex problems with complex business and organizational objectives.
